Growing tomorrow’s leaders today
Four young NSW ladies to join the Picture You in Ag Young Farming Champions, thanks to a sponsorship by Corteva Agriscience.
Corteva Agriscience are the sponsor of four Young Farming Champions (YFC), an initiative run by Picture You in Agriculture to identify youth ambassadors and future influencers working within the agriculture sector. The YFC promote positive images and perceptions of farming and engage in activities and innovative programs to get these messages across to wider audiences.

“We are very excited to share with you that Corteva Agriscience has announced Emily May and Veronika Vicic as their scholarship winners to participate in the two-year Picture You in Agriculture (PYiA) Cultivate – Growing Young Leaders program.”
Veronika will join the program in the initial year where she will develop skills to advocate for agriculture while being mentored by a Young Farming Champion. As a young person who grew up in Sydney, Veronika only became aware of the exciting opportunities in the agriculture sector at university. Read more about Veronika here
Emily May shares a similar story, growing up in a non-farming family in the Hawkesbury district on the outskirts of Western Sydney, the peri-urban industry inspired her to work in Agriculture.
Emily has already completed her initial year with the program and is aiming to widen her horizons and take on a mentoring role for the next generation.

In addition to the scholarship winners, Corteva will put two of their own– Connie Mort and Steph Tabone – through the program.
