Field Days are back!

Located in fine wool and wine country, Murrumbateman Field Days returns 15-16 October and is the flagship annual event in Yass Valley and just 25 minutes from Canberra.

Murrumbateman Field Days, Yass Valley’s flagship annual event returns in just over a week with the event organisers and hundreds of exhibitors, entertainers and volunteers ready to welcome thousands of visitors back to the village of Murrumbateman.

It’s the 44th event for the Murrumbateman Progress Association who host the field days, and like many affected by the lockdowns, it’s a special return with new entertainment and attractions and exhibitors with exciting products as well as welcoming back favoured exhibitors who attend every year.

A new line up of entertainment is sure to impress visitors over the weekend with Australian Barrel Horse Association club, Tablelands Tin Spinners running a barrel racing competition in the northern sand arena. World champion whip cracker, Nathan “Whippy” Griggs has two shows daily plus a whip making workshop and up and coming the country music duo Zac & George will be live on the main stage, plus more local and talented performers to fill the weekend line up and entertain visitors.

Crowd favourite, tractor pull events run by the Yass Antique Farm Machinery Club are back. The Tablelands Tin Spinners Barrel Racing Club is holding  The Australian Barrel Rac. Snake awareness demonstrations are always popular and covered this year and the adorable Children’s Farmyard will have lots of baby animals to cuddle and care for.

It’s going to be an amazing return, keep your eye on the site as you drive past in the coming weeks as the set up starts and jump on the website to learn more. Tickets are only available online and for the fastest entry through the gates, its best to buy them before and scan them at the gate. Volunteers will be available to assist you at the gates but there is no cash ticket sales.
