Getting hip with farm camping income
Agritourism reforms have allowed Tom Harris and his young family to diversify into camping accommodation on their cattle farm in the Tweed valley region.
NSW Farmers Far North Coast Branch Chair, Craig Huf, said the reforms have opened up opportunities for local farmers to tap into the regions tourism market.
“We’ve got some great success stories from farmers using the income from the likes of Hipcamp to fund creek regeneration areas and other environmental works,” Craig said.
